Coating Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Daily planning of coating activities for all scopes (shop & field coating and barges).
  • Daily follow up of coating activities and progress for all scopes.
  • Daily monitoring of production and interim adjustment of processes for benefit of progress.
  • Daily liaison with other production and transport departments on progress of ongoing work.
  • Daily planning of required quantities of work force.
  • Daily execution of start of work, including LMRA & Permits, for all scopes (shop & field coating and barges).
  • Daily precheck of quality of blasting and coating activities, prior to official check by Coating QC.
  • Daily time registration of production staff.
  • Attend daily and/or weekly production meetings based on required presence.
  • Periodical assessment of quality of work force.
  • Mid-term (2-4 weeks) planning of coating activities for all scopes (shop & field coating and barges).
  • Focal Point/Liaison between Production and QC through integrated planning.
  • Focal Point/Liaison between different projects, scopes and project planning.
  • Monitoring of paint & non-paint stock and purchase (request for) restock.
  • Procurement of abrasives paint and non-paint.
  • Procurement of surface preparation/blasting and coating equipment.
  • Procurement of other coating related consumables e.g. demi water, detergents etc.
  • Execution and/or coordination of regular maintenance of surface preparation and coating equipment.
  • Provide, timely, input for QC records/Daily logs as per project specification.
  • Accompaniment of Technical representatives of clients, paint suppliers etc. during 3rd party inspections.

 Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years operational experience as supervisor in an industrial coating environment, preferably offshore fabrication.
  • Working knowledge of international quality control standards e.g. ISO12944, NORSOK M501, NACE/SSPC.
  • Good communication skills (English-required / Dutch-optional) both verbal and in writing.
  • Preferred: NORSOK M501 / ASTM D4228 Trained and/or Qualified (verifiable via logbook documentation).
  • Preferred: Level 2 Coating Inspector; AMPP (NACE-SSPC) / FROSIO / ICORR certified.
