Job Description
As an E&I Hardware Engineer, you are responsible for designing and developing electrical and instrumentation hardware for projects within the industrial, oil & gas, and chemical sectors. You play a key role in the engineering phase and work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality and safe installations.
Your focus is on preparing technical documentation, developing design drawings, and ensuring technical specifications comply with applicable standards. In addition, you provide technical support during both the engineering and execution phases of projects.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Designing and developing instrumentation hardware, including cabling, sensors, field instruments, and connections.

Creating and reviewing Loop Diagrams, P&IDs, and other design documentation.

Designing PLC and HMI hardware, preferably with experience in Honeywell and Foxboro systems.

Applying ATEX directives when designing installations in hazardous (explosive) environments.

Collecting and evaluating technical and client specifications.

Coordinating with engineers, project managers, and execution teams.

Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with industrial standards.

Providing technical support during construction, commissioning, and FAT/SAT testing.
Job Requirements
-
Proven experience as a Hardware Engineer in industrial environments (industry, oil & gas, chemical).

Experience with instrumentation design and reading/interpreting P&IDs and Loop Diagrams.

Practical knowledge of PLC and HMI hardware (Honeywell and/or Foxboro is a strong advantage).

Familiarity with ATEX directives and explosion-proof design.

Completed MBO or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

You need to speak Dutch and English fluently.
